more information

Spout Yard Park nestles between the residential areas of Northgate and Broadbank, with the River Lud flowing beside it. Originally the site of a Victorian tannery, Spout Yard was beautifully transformed into a community park and opened to the public in 2007.
Its gardens and children's play areas are open during daylight hours, offering a welcoming space for people of all ages to meet, relax and play.

Drinks, ice creams and healthy snacks are available from the volunteer-run kiosk on market days and throughout the summer months.
A range of community and fundraising events are organised throughout the year, including an October Light Festival, Santa's Grotto and the annual yacht race.

The park's planting scheme aims to give maximum pleasure all year round, especially during the busy late spring and summer months.
In addition to the overall scheme, the volunteer gardeners are encouraged to add their own touches to maintain colour and variety.

The Spout Yard gardens are supported by organisations such as Louth in Bloom, Rainbow and Brownie groups and the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust who create feature areas and ensure the planting encourages and supports local wildlife.

Spout Yard is home to Louth's only permanent exhibition space in the Louth area.

The outdoor stage area is used for live music events and activities such as Louth's renowned Zero Degrees Festival and the gallery hosts a range of prestigious and exciting exhibitions.

The gallery is available for hire and has become a regular meeting place for a whole range of community groups, schools and charities.

During exhibitions, unless otherwise noted, the gallery will be open on Market Days (Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) between 10am and 4pm. For more details about forthcoming gallery events please check out our gallery Facebook and Instagram pages.

Contact us via email or use the contact form below or ask at the Kiosk (open every Wednesday afternoon and sunny day when we have a volunteer to open it) for more information on how to get involved.

We always need more volunteers - if you can spare a few hours now and again, or on a regular basis please let us know. There's always some gardening to do or you can help with running the kiosk. Volunteering is fun and rewarding.

If you would like to donate toward the running of the park on a regular basis, and become a member, again please let us know.
